When I started looking for a great luxury hotel in which to stay while in London, I was given a suggestion from a friend to check out The Athenaeum. At first glance of their website, I liked what I was seeing. It is rare to see “family” as a tab on most hotel sites, let alone a luxury hotel. Some hotels claim to be family friendly, but you can be left wondering, “What does that really mean?” With Athenaeum, it’s clear from their site what they provide and how they can make your family vacation even better.

Spain with its extraordinary range of attractions and excellent transport is indeed a popular family-friendly destination. The best part is that distances are short between cities and the accommodation infrastructure is excellent. All you need to do is browse for Spanish vacation rentals, and you are sure to come up with endless options for safe and comfortable lodging that meets your expectations and budget.

You might hear the words all-inclusive and think that it would be a dream come true, no matter where or what the resort is right? But not all resorts are created equal, and you really have to do some digging to find the resort that is a perfect fit for you and your family. I have heard many accounts from friends that just went for the cheapest option they could find, and they turned out to be very disappointed. The meals, the service, or the location were all wrong, and instead of the all-inclusive resort being a positive part of the trip, it turned out to be a regret.

Our family is always on the lookout for family friendly destinations that might not be as well-known. This year we discovered Singapore! This amazing island city-state has so much to offer families and more theme parks and fun activities than you can count. I have always been fascinated with Singapore and it’s been on my travel list for a while. We had been staying in Malaysia for a few months and I knew we couldn’t head back home without visiting this amazing place.

“Travel with kids”, sometimes the very words can make a parent panic. It can be hard enough to fly with one or two people, but throw a kid into the mix, and things get complicated. Well… that’s my life. We travel constantly with our two kids in tow. While I feel they are well-behaved kids and I love traveling with them, they inevitably complicate some parts of travel. I am always making sure they are fed, happy, and comfortable. This isn’t always easy, and I am always on the lookout for tools that can help me do the job.
