Christmas is around the corner which means it’s time to start thinking of how you want to Deck Your Halls! After all if you are anything like me, then Christmas is your absolute FAVORITE holiday! I decorate as early as my husband lets me and keep it up as long as he lets me. Right now I have 2 16 gal Rubbermaid buckets packed to the brim with Christmas items plus a 7ft Christmas Tree. Up until this year we have been in apartments so I am sure my collection will grow now that we are settling into a home of our own.
This year to celebrate, I have decided to try something different. I decided I want to have a live wreath for our front door! I haven’t had any live Christmas greenery in my home since I was a child and discovered that I was allergic to Christmas trees. I am fine with evergreens when they are out in the wild, but cut one down and bring it inside and I get incredibly sick. My husband has been a good sport about having a fake tree, but I know he misses the sight and smell of live evergreens. I have tried to make it up to him in the past by buying a bunch of pine scented candles which I light throughout the Christmas season, but it just isn’t the same he says. Which brings me to my decision this year.
I figured that the wreath would be on the front door, so it wouldn’t bother my allergies much. However it would add that perfect classic touch to our new home in looks and smell whenever we opened the front door.
When I told my husband what I was planning he insisted I start looking online right away. And that’s how I found Lynch Creek Farm. All of their wreaths, centerpieces, and garlands etc are fresh, gorgeous, and affordable! And best of all they offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee! I simply fell in love when I found their site. It took me a while to choose what I wanted to order, since I loved everything I saw.
In the end I ended up ordering both a wreath and a matching centerpiece. As for the centerpiece I figured it I got something midsized or small then it wouldn’t bother me as much as a full sized tree and would make my husband so happy. After ordering I anxiously awaited the arrival of our packages. When the two large boxes arrived I couldn’t wait to open them up, but had promised to wait till my husband got home from work. After all he was more excited about this then even I was.
Here were the first impressions that my husband and I had when we pulled them out of the boxes:
1. The smell was heavenly! No scented candle can ever fully capture the essence of live greenery.
2. They were just like the pictures on the Lynch Creek Farm’s website, only better. The colors are more vibrant and the details are amazing.
3. Both the Wreath and the centerpiece were extremely well crafted. Neither had shed much at all in the boxes (and they haven’t in the days since I put them out on display!)
4. We are so doing this again next year!
Each item came with instructions for care, which is extremely easy to follow:
For best results, immediately remove fresh greenery from packaging. When hanging outdoor products like wreaths, choose a sheltered area and avoid direct sunlight. Mist backside with water every other day. The Floral foam on indoor products, such as centerpieces, should be kept moist. With proper care, live evergreens will last up to one month indoors, and up to four months outdoors, depending on climate. – Lynch Creek Farm
