The Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone - 4 Star Luxury with a Twist of Nature

While I love being outdoors, I am far cry from a “camping girl”. I love nature up to a point. I have always been this way and now that I am a mother I feel even more strongly against the difficulties of “roughing it”. My kids get messy enough on a regular day at home; I don’t need to complicate things by having them surrounded by dirt and mud. So when we recently planned a trip to Yellowstone I wanted our family to have an authentic experience, while at the same time not ending up covered in dirt and smelling like campfire.

Our family has been traveling the globe for years now, but we always love coming back home to the US. We have now been to all but 13 states, and we love learning more and exploring our home turf. I get people asking me all the time about what state is our favorite, and while I feel every state has something amazing to offer travelers, if I had to pick one that stood out the most and took me by surprise it would be… Kansas! I know what you’re thinking right? Really, Kansas? Yes, Kansas! There’s so much cool stuff and activities for families all stuffed into this awesome state.

Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner: Your Ultimate DC Family Hotel

I have a list of hotels that I rely on for a certain feel - an appeal that only they can provide, or their so-called niche. Green Valley Ranch: Where Families Play In Vegas

It can be tough taking your whole family to Vegas, as planning a completely kid-friendly time seems complicated. The city went through a very small period of being family-friendly, but those days are definitely gone. I love heading to Vegas for a girls’ weekend or to get away with my husband, but occasionally it’s nice to head to warmer weather with the kids too.

About Mamas Spot

We are a family of four that left it all behind to go travel the world. No, literally we left it all. We sold all of our possessions, packed what we could into four suitcases and said goodbye to suburban life. All we own is now pulled behind us as we travel to new and exciting destinations. Showing our kids the world and teaching them about new cultures, food, and ways of life is now our 9-5.

We love watching our kids learn, and learning along side them. Together we have now explored many new countries, visited family on the other side of the world, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Welcome to our journey!
