Make It Yourself Monday: Homemade Kid and Pet Friendly Weed Spray! Only 3 Ingredients!

Easy

It's make it yourself Monday!!! Yeah!! It's time to say goodbye to all those weeds popping up in your yard!

Here is an awesome solution that you can make at home with ingredients you probably already have!!

I have been using this stuff for a while and it works like a charm. Plus if you are like me and have kids and pets you will love this non-harmful weed spray.

We used to use normal weed killer from the store, but I was always afraid of my kids and animals touching or eating it or dragging it into the house on their shoes, but now I have a new and worry free solution!

Here is what you will need:

:: Spray bottle - any size if fine

:: 1/4 cup salt

:: Dish Soap - I did one squeeze (any brand is fine)

:: Pickling vinegar - Fill the rest of your bottle up with this

Now spray away!! Make sure you don't spray any other plants as this will harm them too!

If you want your garden to be weed free be sure to check out this post!

You will see it working in 1 day.

Make It Yourself Monday: Homemade Granite & Countertop Cleaner!

If you have ever priced Granite countertop cleaners you know that they aren't very frugal, but I have an awesome homemade solution for you today!!

Did you know you can make your own Granite countertop cleaner? You can!! Plus it works great on pretty much all countertops!

Here is what you will need:

:: Rubbing alcohol

:: Scented Oil - This is optional but I love adding a great scent to my kitchen Smile

:: Dawn

Now I have a pretty big spray bottle, so you will need to judge how much of each ingredient you will need based on your spray bottle.

I filled my bottle half full with the rubbing alcohol, then added a couple of drops of the oil, and then 5 decent drops of dawn.

I topped it off with water and it works great!!

Make It Yourself Monday: Homemade Cooking Spray!

Easy

It's time for "Make It Yourself Monday!!" If you are like me you have probably gone to make a meal and found that you are out of cooking spray.

Usually I find myself slathering the baking dish in butter (definitely not healthy) or I use way too much olive oil which can be pricey!

So here is a great solution that is healthier and cheap too!This will also eliminate the sticky residue left by other sprays.

Here is what you will need:

:: 5 parts water
:: 1 part olive oil
:: 1 spray bottle that has a misting setting

I found my bottle at Walmart for $0.50. If you use cooking spray a lot you might want to find a larger bottle, but I like my little bottle. Smile

It's amazing how long this little bit will last too! Making your own will definitely cut back on your grocery bill!
