Most Kroger stores will be offering a free bag of Frito lay chips tomorrow April 1st from 3-8pm. But before you get too excited... the bags are only 2.5-3oz in size and are available while supplies last.

For some reason this freebie is really being hyped up, but I feel it's really only worth it if you plan on being at a Kroger store tomorrow anyway. So if you find yourself at a Kroger be sure to grab your little snack!

I went to Smith's today, to check out their "Double Your Savings Event". Where if you buy Buy 10 participating items, you save $3 instantly" and also get a $3 catalina at check out. I planned on getting a lot more, but unfortunately they were out of a lot of stuff (that's what happens when you wait till Friday).

Here is what I did get:

• 20 Totino's Pizza's - $0.95 each
• Used 10 Mamas clip $.75/2 Totino's Pizza's
• $.28 after $3.00 off and catalina

• 5 Campbells Chunky Soups - $1.29
• Used 1 $2.00 on any five cans
• $.29 each $3.00 off and catalina

• 5 Kraft Macaroni & Cheese 5 packs - $3.49
• Used 5 Mamas Clip $1/1 Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner (5 pk.)
• $1.89 each after $3.00 off and catalina - $.38 per box

Final Price: $16.50 for 30 items! That's around $0.55 an item! Not too bad, I think this might be the lowest price I have had on Totino's Pizza's.

I did three separate transactions of ten items at a time. I got $3.00 off for each transaction and a $3.00 catalina for each transaction. Not everyone can do exactly what I did, we have quite a few computers at our house, so I was bale to print off enough coupons to do this. If you find that you always are in need of more printable coupons, try asking friends and family if they can print some for you.

I was so happy to see my Smith's rewards in the mail today. Although, it would have been smarter on my part if I had checked my mail before I went to Smith's! Oh well I can use it next time. Be on the lookout for yours! And I will let you know what I spend my $10.00 on.

Mamas Tip Just in case you don't know what the Smith's rewards are; If you shop at Smith's and use your rewards card you will get points for every purchase which add up and they will send you a certificate to use at the store every quarter.

I love it when a special day rolls around (Super Bowl, New Years, Easter, etc.) Not just for the day its self, but for the sales after! Today I went to Smith's (a Kroger affiliate) and found this fruit tray for $5.99 marked down from $34.99 (which no offence is a ridiculous price!) You could buy this fruit for cheaper, but sometimes it's nice to splurge on convenience and I think $5.99 is pretty good for a fruit platter. You might want to check your local stores for anything Super Bowl related that's discounted.

Right now you can load a coupon for $1.00/1 Bounty paper towel onto your Smith's card (no size requirements). Which means really cheap paper towels! For a single roll they are usually about $1.09, so $.09 after the coupon.

Every time I have seen a paper coupon for these the store is pretty wiped out, but the fact that you can only load one onto a card these should be in stock. This coupon expires on 01/29 so I would hurry!
