We love going on family adventures, we call them this instead of vacations because they are usually packed with adventure and new discoveries. Iceland is one of these destinations that is packed with new adventures and opportunities for family travelers. While other families might be taking their kids to theme parks that provide temporary fun, but let’s be honest a ton of stress in the long run. We choose to take our kids to adventurous countries to get back in tune with nature and the outdoors. So when planning your next family “vacation” choose an adventure instead!

How often do we find ourselves intimidated by other languages? It should never hold us back though from exploring amazing new places! 2020 has definitely thrown me for a loop. Like most of you; everything that was once normal has changed. If this was any other year I would be sharing many overseas travels with you right now. Instead I will be homebound for the foreseeable future. I try to lean on the positive side when life throws curveballs my way and so I wanted to make the best of this situation. I knew this was my opportunity to explore my own backyard. So many times travelers forget about the adventure and beauty that lies right in their own hometowns.

As a family, we have been to Thailand numerous times, but every time we would leave I felt like we had missed something. Every trip was great, and we had visited every historic site and interesting attraction on our list and yet I still felt like something was missing. We always try to have an authentic experience wherever we go and I felt like we just weren’t completely achieving that when visiting Thailand.
