I have a list of hotels that I rely on for a certain feel - an appeal that only they can provide, or their so-called niche. They bring something to the table in my favorite destinations that no one else can give me. Whether it’s an international destination or here at home, I have my "go-to hotel.” Be it NYC, Paris, London, Tokyo, LA, or even New England in the fall, I know where I am going to feel completely taken care of and relaxed.

Thankfully, on our last trip to Kuala Lumpur, this wasn’t the case due to Ambassador Row by Lanson Place. This amazing property checked off all of our boxes.

This is not an easy feat; we usually find ourselves compromising on quite a few of these during our travels, so to have a hotel that could take care of all our needs as a family was fantastic!

I’ve been in Japan for a little bit now and while I didn’t feel any sort of what you would call technical “culture shock,” I was and continue to be dealing with some hard lessons that I find myself struggling with almost every day. When speaking to others about taking our family to Greece, most raved about the obvious places like the islands of Santorini and Mykonos. However, Greece holds a hidden gem even more beautiful than what can be found on those islands, and to plan a trip to Greece without including Meteora would be a definite loss.

About Mamas Spot

We are a family of four that left it all behind to go travel the world. No, literally we left it all. We sold all of our possessions, packed what we could into four suitcases and said goodbye to suburban life. All we own is now pulled behind us as we travel to new and exciting destinations. Showing our kids the world and teaching them about new cultures, food, and ways of life is now our 9-5.

We love watching our kids learn, and learning along side them. Together we have now explored many new countries, visited family on the other side of the world, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Welcome to our journey!
