Home Sweet Home with Vacation In Paris

February 2016

I get up in the morning and head out the door to my local market to pick up some groceries; I grab some potatoes, bacon, cream, eggs, and cheese to make one of my favorite breakfast casseroles. I head back to my apartment, cook breakfast for my husband and myself. We open the window to let in some fresh air and we people watch while we eat. Afterward, I clean up and stick all the dishes in the dishwasher.

My husband and I do a little work on our laptops while we discuss what we would both like to do for the day. It almost seems like a typical day at home. The only thing is, I’m not at home. In fact, I’m pretty far from it. No, I’m in Paris. Out my window, I can see Napoleon’s Tomb, along with other stunning Parisian apartments. No, we’re definitely not in Kansas anymore, and this is a much better view than what I get at home.

This is our Vacation In Paris apartment, and it’s one of the best travel experiences of my life. Not only do I have the amazing Paris vacation experience, but I have it while immersing myself as a local. To be completely honest, I’m not a huge fan of the touristy areas of Paris. I enjoyed seeing certain sites, like The Eiffel Tower and The Louvre, but at the end of the day, it was nice to have some space away from those areas, and Vacation In Paris was perfect for that. Close enough for us to walk to most attractions, but not so close that you feel like you are stuck in a tourist trap.

The Vacation In Paris staff is amazing, and they make themselves available anytime you might need anything. When we first arrived, Tania from Vacation In Paris made sure we arrived at the apartment ok, and showed us around the apartment, making sure we knew how all the appliances worked, how to get in and out of the building, and making sure we were really settled. We had her contact information if we needed anything during our stay. Having someone who spoke English (since we only know a few words of French) was incredibly reassuring.

Our apartment also had a wonderful guest book with suggestions from previous guests for restaurants, things to do, and even the best coffee in the area. Turns out, we didn’t need coffee suggestions though, because our apartment came with an espresso machine and coffee press. Other than food, our apartment came equipped with everything we needed. They make sure you have fresh linens, WIFI, phone access, TV, kitchen dishes, and more. The only thing we needed to buy the four days we were in Paris was food.

We were near two metro stations, which made it very easy to get to sites that weren’t within walking distance. At the end of the day, I couldn’t ask for a better place to be than our own apartment. After long days of sightseeing, it gave us somewhere to rest that felt like home. It doesn’t get much better than that. If you are planning a trip to France I highly recommend you use VIP to make your trip amazing! If you would like to book the same apartment we had just head over to VIP site and you will see it there!
