We recently stayed at the wonderful Langham Hotel and were invited to try out their restaurant Measure. Located in the heart of Midtown it is in a perfect location to stop for lunch, dinner or a drink. We sat down for a wonderful lunch of Contemporary American cuisine.

My husband is a sucker for anything with brie or bacon, and if you put the two together well… that’s just too good to pass up. As soon as he saw the bacon grilled cheese he knew he had to try it. Cheddar, brie, parmesan melted together and topped off with bacon. I was in the mood for something with a little more meat and went with the chargrilled hamburger.
The service at Measure is held to the same standard as anything else at Langham and doesn’t disappoint. Even when we were well taken care of at our table I could see our waiter making a conscious effort always keeping an eye on our table anticipating the nest need we might have.
Measure is one of those restaurants that you plan on sitting down at for less than 45 minutes and then the atmosphere grabs you and has you there way longer. The seating is incredibly comfortable and yet easy to enjoy your meal in. You feel incredibly relaxed at Measure and end up lingering longer.
Make sure you don’t skimp out on dessert at Measure; I almost thought I was too full for dessert, and it would have been a terrible shame. I decided to get the strawberry shortcake and I’m so glad I did. This was not your average dessert this was a little piece of heaven. So light, so fresh and by far the best strawberry shortcake I have ever had, and will probably ever have. Any trips to NYC from this point forward I will always have to plan a stop at Measure. And I highly recommend you make Measure a part of your next NYC trip as well.
