Have you ever been to a city that immediately took your breath away? A city that once there, you just pause in admiration? This is how I felt on my most recent trip to Bath.

To be completely honest, I didn’t know what to expect from the city. I knew it was home to the Roman Baths, but beyond that I wasn’t sure what sights we would see or how the city would feel. Instantly, I loved the architecture! I immediately thought, “What a beautiful city”.
In my opinion, the best way to see the city (besides walking around) is to hop on a City Sightseeing Bus Tour. You will see these red busses all around the city and can hop on and hop off at different points if you like.
Our family hopped on in front of the Bath Abbey and rode the bus all around the city. The guide on the bus had a wealth of knowledge to share with us about the city. It was a history lesson and a fun tour all wrapped into one. The kids loved riding on the top of the buss where it’s open and easy to look around and see everything.
We of course had to go see the Roman Baths, and they definitely didn’t disappoint. I was surprised with how close you can get to them and I loved all the history that has been added to this attraction. There is so much more to see than just the Baths.
I really loved how walkable the city is; with kids in tow it’s so much easier if you can easily walk to everything!
Another must see in the city and it’s really hard to miss is the Bath Abbey. I could have sat all day in this abbey; it’s a truly impressive and gorgeous building.
