Apple Wood: Our Top Pick for Luxurious Family Friendly Accommodations Near Longleat

Longleat Safari Park draws hundreds of thousands visitors each year and it’s not hard to see why with an estate that spans 900 acres and home to the first Safari Drive-Through outside of Africa. Longleat is home to over 500 animals and tons of fun for families!

Whether you drive through or take a walk through the gardens this is a must-see activity for families and will definitely create some memories.
When planning your trip to Longleat you will need family friendly accommodations as well, and sometimes that can get tricky, but not with Apple Wood! This self-catering luxury cabin has everything a family, couple or even single travelers could need. This hideaway in the Wiltshire woods provides peace and seclusion while still giving you access to all the amazing sites and attractions around the area including Longleat.

As a bonus; right now when you book a minimum of three nights at the Apple Wood you get a free adult ticket to Longleat! Head over here to check out this deal and all the details.

When our family arrived at the Apple Wood we were greeted by Neeta (the owner) and I knew at that moment the hospitality at the Apple Wood was going to be impeccable. Neeta showed us around, made sure we had everything we could possibly need and even baked fresh croissants for our family!

At first glance the Honey Crisp Cabin at the Apple Wood looks just like a cute little cabin, but then you step inside and you know it’s not going to be like any other cabin experience. This “cabin” comes with all the modern conveniences you could ask for. When traveling with kids, having a touch of modern and luxury is key!  The Honey Crisp Cabin comes with a washer, dishwasher, hairdryer and more.

While it might not look huge from the outside once you walk in it feels incredibly spacious and definitely enough room for a family or even small group. There are two ensuite bedrooms and they are beautifully appointed with decorations that make you feel right at home.

Our bathroom had a fantastic bathtub that I couldn’t wait to fill with bubbles and just soak in our new digs.

Neeta had some great restaurant suggestions, but to be honest I was really looking forward to using the beautiful kitchen to make a home cooked meal. When traveling with kids, ease and convenience is a must and this kitchen will definitely help in making your trip a breeze.

If you visit during the colder months there is even a fireplace to keep you warm as you snuggle up on the sofa enjoying the peaceful view of the woods outside.

I typically try to give a complete review of accommodations which also includes any negatives, but I can honestly say there are no negatives here. The Honey Crisp Cabin and the overall stay at Apple Wood was more than impeccable, it was fantastic!

The only negative our family experienced was not spending enough time at these beautiful accommodations. Want to check out the Apple Wood for yourself? Head over here to book your stay today!
