Have you heard about Honey Bunches of Oats new brand anthem “Smile while you shake it”? If not you are in for a treat! The idea behind their anthem is to celebrate each morning by starting with a smile. And what brings a smile quicker than some yummy cereal like Honey bunches of oats?
To help spread the word about their awesome cereal and the fun new anthem, I was asked to hold a “Smile while you shake it” blogger party. Never one to pass up on the excuse to party I jumped at the opportunity.
Since Honey Bunches of Oats is breakfast cereal it made sense to hold the party in the morning. It also made sense to have everyone wear pajamas. After all we wanted to get in touch with our inner child.
Being the serious party planner that I am it was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun preparing for the event. All too soon the morning of the party was here. Everything was in place (including personalized bowls with everyone’s names on them to enjoy their yummy cereal in.) and my blogger friends started arriving.
We all changed into our PJ’s which got us in the perfect mood to enjoy our breakfast. Everyone loved the cereal and soon the games and contests began. There was much laughter over the next 21/2 hours. Especially when we all took turns taking the Smile while you shake it dance challenge.
At first we went in pairs and had a blast thinking up crazy moves to go with Honey Bunches of Oats 15 second Anthem which we of course recorded. Then we held a mini dance off where we each showed our stuff which we recorded as well. ;) The hardest part? Why, holding in the laughter during filming of course.
