Today I want to talk to you about something near and dear to my heart. While it may seem like all we hear about right now is upsetting news and problems that feel like they are out of our control, there are still amazing causes where we can affect change. One cause that I am focusing on this month is the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). This amazing WWP helps to honor and empower soldiers that were wounded or injured while serving their country.
Right now we have the power to help this mission and make a difference! We can honor these amazing warriors by participating in the WWP Carry Forward Virtual 5K. I absolutely love that anyone can participate in this since the event is virtual!
This year we will be participating as a family. I think we could all use to get outside, soak up some sunshine and bring some much needed awareness to this amazing project. What a great way to teach kids about the sacrifices that have been made and the meaning of service.
My grandfather served in the military and I am incredibly grateful for his sacrifice and service. I know it wasn’t easy for him and the resources to help him once he returned back to the states just weren't available for him at the time. Now this is where Wounded Warrior Project comes in and offers so much for our wounded warriors. Our military community deserves our support and help. Wounded Warrior Project gives a voice to those that really need it.
