When heading to Denver you have to include dinosaurs into your trip. We recently stayed at the Denver Southwest Best Western, and found that they had partnered with the Morrison Natural History Museum for a lot of their artifacts and their morning fossil interpreter that comes to the hotel. I knew with all the cool artifacts that the hotel had we had to go see the Morrison Natural History Museum.

We recently headed to Lincoln Nebraska and I floored at how much I loved this fantastic little city! You never realize how many amazing cities there are until you start exploring a little further. You also never realize how many great hotels there are until you do a little exploring with that as well. While in Lincoln we decided to stay at The Holiday Inn Lincoln-Downtown. This post was created as part of the Trekaroo Influencer Network on behalf of Deer Valley Ski Resort. As always my opinions are my own.

I have lived in Utah all my life and somehow I have never been skiing! I know it’s crazy. We have some fantastic ski resorts, like the Deer Valley Resort, that have some of the best ski slopes around. We are planning on going out of the country this coming spring, so I really want to cross skiing off my bucket list before we leave. Unfortunately it can be overwhelming trying new things and skiing is no exception. I like to do research before trying anything for the first time and I always have a ton of questions I need answered before heading off on our next adventure. I got the chance to ask Kurt Hammel, the assistant manager for Children’s Programs at Deer Valley Resort, some of my first time skier questions and they have eased my fears with some excellent answers. But first, a little background info.

About Mamas Spot

We are a family of four that left it all behind to go travel the world. No, literally we left it all. We sold all of our possessions, packed what we could into four suitcases and said goodbye to suburban life. All we own is now pulled behind us as we travel to new and exciting destinations. Showing our kids the world and teaching them about new cultures, food, and ways of life is now our 9-5.

We love watching our kids learn, and learning along side them. Together we have now explored many new countries, visited family on the other side of the world, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Welcome to our journey!
