Today's Mamas Review is on Finesse. This obviously isn't a new product, but it's new to me and I was able to get it for free with the deal here.
So this was the first time I had tried finesse and I used the texture enhancing conditioner, extra control mousse and extra hold hairspray. Here is what I thought of each product:
Texture Enhancing Conditioner - I was surprised how well this worked on my hair (I have really thick hair that has a mind of it's own) It did make my hair softer and a little bit more manageable. There was only one thing I hated about it, and unfortunately it was kind of a big deal. It stinks! I couldn't stand the smell. Maybe I will get used to it, but it's bad! So if you are willing to overlook the smell, I would say it's a pretty good product.
Extra Control Mousse - Lately I have been trying to work with the natural curl in my hair, so I am using a lot of mousse to keep it under control. So I was thrilled when I was able to get these because I was starting to run out of my Herbal Essences Mousse (that I got for free on another deal). This also worked really well, it held in my hair and lasted the whole day. It was just as good as any other mousse I have tried. The only problem once again was the smell! I don't know who created the smells for Finesse, but they are bad. So once again great product, bad smell.
Extra Hold Hairspray - I have to say, for the most part to me, hairspray is hairspray. I have never been really surprised or super happy with one particular brand. So I thought this worked just fine. It held in my hair well and kept my hair up all day. And out of the three products it smelled the best, probably because it doesn't soak into your hair as much.
So to simply put it, all three product worked great they just didn't smell good. I definitely don't regret getting them and I will continue to use the ones I have because they do work. (I will just have to try to ignore the smell.)
