So I will doing an update every week on my progress with the Mamas Challenge. I know that this is a couponing blog (obviously) but I love to talk (or as my husband says "ramble") And I believe talking to you will help me accomplish my challenge!

I want Mamas Spot to be a place where we can get advice from one another and be more of a community (I hope that doesn't sound too, Mr. Rogers)

So if you too are trying to be healthier or trying to lose weight, please feel free to leave comments about what you are trying and how you feel about it.

Or if you are already fit and healthy (lucky you!) maybe you have some tips of your own!

Anyway... so onto my two day progress! So I don't think I am going to have a problem with the working out.

Every time my beautiful little girl starts melting down and I am ready to lock her in her room till she's 19! It feels so great to toss the kids into the stroller (not literally) and to get some fresh air!

And luckily both of my babies love getting out and will actually be good for about 2 1/2 hours. They just love people watching and taking in the sights.

So I think my big problem is going to be my diet, and wow is it a problem! So I was reviewing what I have been eating for the past couple of days and here where a just few things on my menu:

5 - 44oz Mt. Dew

3 - Chocolate Cake Doughnuts

Half a pizza

Who knows how many chips - I lost count.

And that's just a couple of things. Embarassed Needless to say it's really embarrassing. I know it's not a good excuse, but I just get so busy sometimes I feel like I only have time for junk food.

The funny thing (and good thing) is that I feed my kids the exact opposite. My little girl loves tofu, veggies and yogurt! If I had her diet I would probably be just fine.

I just feel like I'm in a rut right now! I have been a vegetarian for almost 7 years and you would think I would have it down right now, but instead I'm just kind of lost on what to eat.

Unfortunately it doesn't help that I am a picky eater! My parents always thought I would outgrow it, but here I am an adult married with two kids and I still hate most vegetables.

That's right I am a vegetarian that hates veggies!  I thought about it the other day and I probably like about 8 different vegetables and that's counting tomatoes (I don't care what anyone says; to me they are a vegetable). You might not think 8 is too bad, but start counting how many you eat! (trust me you will probably get way past eight)

It's kind of embarrassing, my husband eats more veggies and tofu than I do and he's not a vegetarian!

So because of this I eat a lot of starches and junk food. Which doesn't do a lot for your figure. So I am going to try to do a complete overhaul to my diet and I will update you with my progress next week! Stay tuned!
