Recently I was given the great opportunity of trying a Soda Stream! If you haven't seen these yet, it's a really cool machine that you can make pop at home with.
I have to say it was really easy to use, all you have to do is put water in a bottle, attach it to the machine that has the CO2 canister and push a button!
And you don't have to plug it in, which is an added bonus for me I have to many things plugged in already.
Soda Stream has a ton of flavors! I would definitely recommend the root beer. Unfortunately I am really picky about the flavoring of my drinks, I really love
Mt. Dew and I didn't feel the taste was really the same. Most of the rest of the flavorings were pretty close to the leading brands.
It definitely is a cool product, but I just can't see myself continuing to buy the flavorings. With couponing I am well stocked all the time with free pop.
Most of the flavorings are around $4.99 and they can make the equivalent of 33 cans of pop which equals out to $0.15 a can (that doesn't figure in the price of machine itself).
If you don't coupon that's definitely a great price, but my price point for pop is always below $0.10 a can with coupons.
I think this would make a great gift for someone who likes to make stuff at home or who loves cool gadgets like this!
