Have you received unwanted text messages from Payless?
If you received one between 10/29/04 – 10/04/10 you are eligible for a $25 Payless credit.
Apparently they were sending out promotional text messages without consent first.

I have to say that I agree, this would be annoying, companies ask for your phone number all the time just to have it with your account, but you don't necessarily expect them to start texting you all the time.
And unfortunately depending what kind of cell phone plan you have it can start to get expensive.
What do you think? If you hand over your phone number should companies be able to use it for texting?
