Today I want to share with you one of my favorite Malaysian drink recipes! Tea is an essential part of the Malaysian culture and Teh Terik is one of the most popular tea drinks. Teh Terik is a hot, sweet and frothy tea that is made by pouring tea back and forth between two containers to create a smooth and creamy texture. It is a staple drink in Malaysia that is enjoyed by everyone, from young children to the elderly. Teh Terik originated in Malaysia in the 1920s when Indian immigrants came to the country and introduced their tea culture.

The word "Teh" means tea in Malay language, and "Terik" means hot. The tea is brewed using strong black tea leaves, and then mixed with condensed milk and sugar.

The process of pouring the tea back and forth is not only a way to mix the ingredients but also a way to cool down the tea to a drinkable temperature. Teh Terik is a delicious and frothy tea that has become a part of the Malaysian culture. The popularity of Teh Terik has spread beyond Malaysia, and it is now enjoyed by people all over the world. If you ever have the chance to try Teh Terik in Malaysia, make sure to give it a try and experience the unique taste and texture of this popular Malaysian tea. Teh Terik is not only a popular drink in Malaysia but also in other countries such as Singapore, Brunei, and Indonesia. It is a drink that is enjoyed by people from all walks of life and is often served in local cafes, restaurants, and food stalls. Teh Terik is also a popular drink during festive seasons such as Ramadan and Chinese New Year.

This is a super easy recipe and it's something your whole family can enjoy!

To make Teh Terik, start by brewing a strong pot of black tea. Then, add condensed milk and sugar to the tea while it's still hot. Next, pour the mixture back and forth between two containers several times to create a frothy and creamy texture. The tea should be poured from a height to create a frothy texture and to cool down the tea to a drinkable temperature. Once the tea is ready, it can be served hot or over ice. Don't worry if your tea pouring skills are lacking, it will still taste great!
