BusyKid - chores and allowance simplified with one AMAZING app!

This summer I started to get really tired of our old chore charts. We write everything down on a paper or clip board, but it never quite gets tracked like it should and I always have a kid telling me later about how they completed a chore when I don’t think they did. It was definitely time to shake things up at our house and I just knew there had to be a better way. I searched around for a better chore chart system and found BusyKid. My kids one complaint was that neither their dad or myself had cash on hand to pay for the chores they had finished. I would joke with my daughter “Do you take a credit card?” she didn’t appreciate that very much. I needed a way for their chore money to just come out of my checking account automatically without any hassle.

With so many tasks during the day, it can be hard as a parent to keep up with everything. Before you know it you forgot to remind the kids to brush their teeth or maybe it slipped your mind to sign their school field trip form. Parenting is hard and that’s why I use every tool at my disposal to help out. Most days I need at least two more pairs of hands so that’s where these tools come in handy. One of these tools is the amazing Gululu smart water bottle. I have a hard enough time managing my own water intake throughout the day; I don’t have the time to manage the little munchkins too.

Lately, I am blown away by all the amazing opportunities kids have now days. So much information and technology right at their fingertips. My daughter is nine, and there isn’t anything she can’t easily learn. At her age, I would have had to head to the library and hope they had a book on what I wanted to learn. It was difficult, and I missed a lot of opportunities because of this. I am so grateful, though that it can be different for my daughter. She can do anything she wants and, with practice and focus, learn new abilities and skills.

Whether you travel around the globe (like our family) or head out short trips or “staycations” it can be hard to know what to pack. We have been circling the globe for almost two years now and it can still feel like we just aren’t quite packed right or that we are missing something. Over time I have become a much better packer though and as a mom I am apparently pre-programmed to make sure I have every possible necessity for any possible situation (you just never know when you might need to MacGyver something out of two pencils, a baby wipe and your kids chewed up gum they handed back to you).

About Mamas Spot

We are a family of four that left it all behind to go travel the world. No, literally we left it all. We sold all of our possessions, packed what we could into four suitcases and said goodbye to suburban life. All we own is now pulled behind us as we travel to new and exciting destinations. Showing our kids the world and teaching them about new cultures, food, and ways of life is now our 9-5.

We love watching our kids learn, and learning along side them. Together we have now explored many new countries, visited family on the other side of the world, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Welcome to our journey!
