Books are a huge building block to a child’s development, but as moms, it can be hard to always stay on top of purchasing new and interesting books for our kids. This rings especially true with new mothers who can find it hard to have time for the most basic of activities and book shopping is definitely not on the top of your list. The internet makes it possible to not have to leave your home, but there is a new service that makes it even easier to bring the joy of books and reading effortlessly into your home.

It’s hard not to feel judged as a mom in this electronic day in age, everywhere you turn you hear moms criticizing other moms parenting skills, articles contradicting each other on how to take care of your baby and your own self-doubt making you question if you are doing a good job. But there’s a secret underneath all that negativity a secret the rest of the world doesn’t share with you enough; you are a great mom. That’s right… you are a great mom and even if nobody else recognizes it, your baby does.

Part of being a mom for me is making sure products my family consumes are going to make them healthy and happy. My family’s health means everything to me. I hate seeing my kids sick or hurt, and if that comes from a product I buy I can’t even begin to explain the guilt I feel. When my oldest was a baby I bought some new wipes I had never used before, and they gave her one of the worst rashes I had ever seen. I was devastated! She was sore for over a week, and I felt like a terrible mom. This is something that has probably happened to every mom, and in no way does it mean you are a bad mom. That’s just part of being a parent. Luckily we can learn from our own and other’s mistakes to help us provide what’s best for our family.

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Intermountain Healthcare. As always though, all opinions are mine.

When you are a first-time mom, everything is new, overwhelming and sometimes scary. You have so many things running through your mind, and there isn’t a book in the world that can completely prepare you. When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was terrified—but not terrified about pregnancy or caring for a fragile little human being—I was terrified about delivery. There were so many unknowns, toward the end of my pregnancy I couldn’t stop thinking about what could go wrong and wondering, “Can I really do this?”

It’s a messy world out there… especially for moms. I don’t think a second passes by without some sort of mess being created in my home; with young kids it’s only natural, what isn’t natural is all the products made to help take care of those messes.

About Mamas Spot

We are a family of four that left it all behind to go travel the world. No, literally we left it all. We sold all of our possessions, packed what we could into four suitcases and said goodbye to suburban life. All we own is now pulled behind us as we travel to new and exciting destinations showing our kids the world and teaching them about new cultures, food and ways of life.

We love watching them learn, and learning along side them. Together we have now explored many new countries, visited family on the other side of the world for the first time and made memories that will last a lifetime.
